Essential Qualifications: 

Fifteen (15) years of experience performing a combination of systems design, architecture, engineering, and security with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).  A technical field bachelor's degree. Certification as Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) and Tenable Security Center 5.x (DISA/CDTC/Tenable University) or 3 years of related experience.  IAT II Baseline Certification such as CISSP, CASP + CE. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required. 

 

Full Job Description 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Designs, architects, and implements a global ACAS and industry standard network monitoring capability  

  • Prepare consolidated requirements and functional design specifications 

  • Advise on project costs, design concepts, and design changes 

  • Update, integrate, and migrate the ACAS architecture  

  • Analyzes organizational business needs in terms of information technology systems requirements 

  • Evaluates factors for security and access restrictions to determine hardware configurations. 

  • Analyze and develop solutions to complex application problems and provide expertise during all project phases 

  • Identify system data, hardware and software components needed to meet user needs 

  • Implement enterprise level reusable services and integrate custom workflow 

  • Maintain and sustain ACAS Security Centers and Scanners using Government supplied software 

  • Upgrade Security Centers and Scanners  

  • Continuously monitor the performance and integrity of the ACAS solution, assess scan times, and make changes to improve performance 

  • Receive requests, request clarifications, triage, troubleshoot, and resolve ACAS scanning issues with client 

  • Analyze and preparcustomized reporting and creating customized scans and definitions in an OPTEMPO environment 

  • Operate and maintain the Nessus Agent and Nessus Manager subcomponent of ACAS  

  • Consolidate vulnerability data 

  • Provide support for Security Controls Assessment (SCA) of INSCOM systems 

  • Create ACAS TTPs, SOPs, and capture lessons learned  

  • Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery plan 

 

Job Qualifications: 

Required Qualifications and Skills include: 

  • Requires minimum 15 years of experience performing a combination of systems design, architecture, engineering, and security with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.  

  • Experience in deploying and managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a highly distributed global enterprise using Red Hat Satellite.  

  • Experience in managing and maintaining ACAS  

  • Experience in deploying and managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a highly distributed global enterprise using Red Hat Satellite. 

  • Team leadership skills and technical execution on technical projects 

  • Professional hands-on experience in systems engineering tools, computer algorithm development 

  • Experience developing detailed models and simulations of electronic circuits or systems for design verification 

  • Experience with analysis, design, or test of superconducting electronics, system architecture study or design 

  • Written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve 

  • Advanced skillset in time management and task prioritization  

 

 

Education/Experience include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or 15 years of related experience to include 10 years of direct ACAS experience 

  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)  

  • Tenable Security Center 5.x Certification (DISA/CDTC/Tenable University) or 3 years of related experience 

  • IAT III Baseline Certification (CISSP/CASP) + CE 

 

 

Working Conditions: 

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Use of standard office equipment such as scanners and printers, phones, and laptops.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a regular full-time position. 

 

Travel: 

 Little to none 

 

Clearance Type: 

Requires an Active TS/SCI clearance. Employment is contingent on having or obtaining the required active security clearance or successfully passing the required background check, as well as other factors, including, but not limited to, drug screens.
