Summary:

Essential Qualifications: 

Fifteen (15) years of experience performing a combination of Network design, architecture, engineering, and security.  Experience in deploying and managing SolarWinds Orion. A technical field bachelor's degree. Certification as a Cisco Certified Network Professional or SolarWinds Certified Professional. IAT III Baseline Certification such as CISSP, CASP + CE. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required. 

 

Full Job Description 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Maintain, configure, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and virtualization environments 

  • Install and upgrade computer components and software 

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software  

  • Monitor systems for performance, capacity, and outages  

  • Perform regular backup operations  

  • Produce customized alerts, reports, and dashboards 

  • Implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures 

  • Works with architecture and engineering teams to implement new systems and technology 

  • Design a high availability SolarWinds architecture and deployment plan. 

  • Install, configure, and customize SolarWinds Orion  

  • Update, integrate, and migrate SolarWinds architecture  

  • Receive requests, request clarifications, triage, troubleshoot, and resolve network management issues 

  • Install, configure, and administer SolarWinds Network Performance Module (NPM), Network Configuration Manager (NCM), Data Performance Analyzer (DPM), IP Address Manager (IPAM), Web Performance Manager (WPM), Server and Application Monitor (SAM), and Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA) 

  • Produce customized alerts, reports, and dashboards 

  • Develop and maintain SolarWinds Disaster Recovery plan 

 

 

Job Qualifications: 

Required Qualifications and Skills include: 

  • Requires minimum 15 years of experience performing a combination of Network design, architecture, engineering, and security.  

  • Experience in deploying and managing SolarWinds Orion in a highly distributed global enterprise. 

  • Proven experience in deploying and managing SolarWinds Orion.  

  • Advanced knowledge of network technologies and architecture. 

  • Expertise with operating and maintaining data backup and recovery solutions. 

  • Knowledge of encryption protocols. 

  • Experience and knowledge of security best practices. 

  • Written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to articulate technical matters to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Ability to multitask and work under time constraints. 

  • Experience in leading projects through complete project life–cycle. 

  • Advanced skillset in time management and task prioritization. 

 

Education/Experience include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or 15 years of related experience 

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional or SolarWinds Certified Professional 

  • IAT III Baseline Certification (CISSP/CASP) + CE 

 

Working Conditions: 

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Use of standard office equipment such as scanners and printers, phones, and laptops.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a regular full-time position. 

 

Travel: 

 Little to none 

 

Clearance Type: 

Requires an Active TS/SCI clearance. Employment is contingent on having or obtaining the required active security clearance or successfully passing the required background check, as well as other factors, including, but not limited to, drug screens.
