Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN devices to include Cisco Nexus 5000 series switches, Cisco MDS 9148 switches, Cisco 4948 switches, and Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) and on several classifications of networks.
Configure Nexus Switches to accept enterprise class storage devices such as Hitachi G200/400 and HUS-150.
Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF) for communication between network devices.
Maintain network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures which included running STIGs against network devices.
Create SOP's, installation documents, and network diagrams pertaining to equipment being used.
Use of Visio to create and maintain network diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills include:
Experience with DCGS or similar DoD enterprise or tactical level intelligence processing systems.
Performed a lead role by training new employees on network devices, handling taskings for network team, overseeing network team duties.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies.
Develop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3-4 years of recent working experience with CISCO Switches.
Willing to travel 2-3 times per year for short durations.
Requires TS/SCI clearance
