Summary: 

This position is remote/work from home. The individual will focus on bringing previously developed containers and microservices to the user through several interfaces which together will create the scenario UI. This UI will need custom features created which have the ability to successfully replay data, call data from various data sources, and allow user to make modifications for their intended outcomes. This Frontend Developer has responsibilities mainly in the areas of creating, maintaining, and enhancing multiple user interfaces by writing, modifying, and using debug software for client applications. In this role, the Frontend Developer will work with the end users, developers, and engineers to ensure that the interfaces are developed for various permission-based roles. 

 

Essential Functions: 

 

  • Responsible for working with the development team to ensure accessibility for all users by developing a front end that functions across browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements. 
  • Support solution development and integration across the SDLC. 
  • Identify efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches. 
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues. 
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports. 
  • CSS / HTML/ JavaScript coding for front end UI features and effects. 
  • Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and provide support. 
  • Engage in quality assurance testing with an emphasis on troubleshooting cross browser client issues. 
  • Use source debuggers and visual development environments. 
  • Test and document software for client applications.  
  • Write code to create single-threaded, multi-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone or those which access servers or services. 
  • Create, modify, and test the code, forms, and script that allow computer applications to run.  
  • Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or engineers 
  • Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. 
  • Write, modify, and debug software for client applications.  

 

Job Qualifications: 

 

Required Qualifications and Skills include: 

  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented multi-tasker, able to prioritize open issues/ tickets accordingly. 
  • Experience working with Graph NoSQL Databases. 
  • Experience with Mongo DB and Neo4j databases. 
  • Experience working with containers. 
  • Familiarity with Git and SVN or other version control and issue tracking software. 
  • Experience with object-oriented design, service-oriented application development, and event-driven architecture. 
  • Experience with UI/UX design using multiple front-end languages and libraries, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, or jQuery. 
  • Experience with using multiple back-end languages, including C#, Java, Python, or PHP. 
  • Experience with using JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular, or Node.js. 
  • Experience with creating technical design specifications or UML diagrams. 
  • Knowledge of web servers, including Apache, IIS, or Nginx. 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills include: 

  • Customer facing attitude. 
  • Strong understanding of Military and IC networks. 
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). 

 

Education/Experience include: 

  • 3+ years of experience if proficiency can be demonstrated in the above requirements with a BA/BS 
  • 10+ years of experience if proficiency can be demonstrated in the above requirements without degree. 

 

Working Conditions: 

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will operate a computer. The person in this position frequently communicates with end-users; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
