REMOTE Integration DevSecOps Engineer (1209) | Augusta, 30901, Augusta, GA, US


This position is remote/work from home.  Develop and manage best practices/methodologies for provisioning, application scaling, security, deployment, monitoring, etc. This position will support ingestion and delivery of data from source systems to analytics platforms (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured; queue / batch and real-time) within a microservice architecture. Referral Eligible!


Essential Functions:


  • Maintain/develop automation and maintenance tasks in support of continuous Integration / continuous deployment CI/CD.
  • Document and implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Analyze and comprehend how customers are using the platform and help drive continuous improvement of the offering based on that.  
  • Work with other engineers on the design, deployment, and continuous integration within diverse infrastructure services.
  • Actively participate in the design and execution of enhancements 
  • Provide support for testing, deployments, and integration.
  • Provide input into platform requirements and operational guidelines, with a focus on automation and continuous process improvement.


Job Qualifications:

Qualifications and Skills include:

  • Experience in direct integration of successful virtualized Linux deployments and JAVA based application. 
  • Must have experience in direct involvement with successful DevSecOps deployments at an operation level and experience in resolving various integration and deployment conflicts while balancing security.
  • Experience leading a functional area will be necessary.  
  • SECRET clearance and IAT2 certification of Security+ CE or higher.  


Preferred Qualifications and Skills include:

  • 3+ years' direct experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Experience using working with Microsoft Azure, to include working within cloud-based virtual machines and utilizing web-based productivity (email, calendar, and Teams).
  • Currency in more than one scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, C, C++, Java, or Shell.
  • Wide ranging experience with Linux, networking, server, and cloud architectures.
  • Experience with GovCloud, GCC High, C2S or another government cloud PaaS provider.
  • Competent understanding of configuration, deployment, management and maintenance of large cloud-hosted systems; including auto-scaling, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and Jenkins or Selenium.
  • A strong understanding of open-source technology stacks.
  • Experience in configuration management technologies such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
  • Specialized work in classified environment and experience with DevSecOps involving Apache NiFi is preferred.


Education/Experience include:

  • 10 years of experience and a master's degree; or
  • A bachelor’s degree and 18 years of experience; or
  • No degree would require 22 total years of experience.


Working Conditions:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
