This is a remote position.

  

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to support test and evaluation for US Army C5ISR systems undergoing development and transition to operations. This project will build a new web-based system to execute modeling and simulation (M&S) scenarios. 

In this role, the successful candidate will support the entire development lifecycle working as part of an agile development team operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  

You will remotely participate in design, development, and deployment of software products into operational systems. You will work both independently and in a team environment using Agile Development processes and tools (Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Git)

Job Qualifications:   

Qualifications and Skills include:    

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or closely related. 

  • At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience with object-oriented development. 

  • Strong skills in front-end and/or back-end system development. 

  • Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle. 

  • Familiar with DevSecOps & Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). 

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Education:   

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or closely related. 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience with front-end web development (JavaScript, CSS, Angular, Grails) 

  • Proficient in these languages/tools/formats: Java, Python, Maven, XML, JSON 

  • Experience with open-source technologies and databases such as NiFi and PostgreSQL 

  • Experience with cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), microservices, containers, Kubernetes 

  • Experience with web and service-oriented architecture (SOA) technologies, such as REST APIs 

  • Familiar with visualization and modeling and simulation (M&S) technologies

Travel:    

Travel up to 10%     

 

Clearance Type:    

Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret. Employment is contingent on having or obtaining the required active security clearance or successfully passing the required background check, as well as other factors, including, but not limited to, drug screens.
