Essential Qualifications: 

Ten (10) years of experience performing a combination of Network design, architecture, engineering, and security. Experience in deploying and managing SolarWinds Orion. A technical field bachelor's degree. Certification as a Cisco Certified Network Professional or SolarWinds Certified Professional. IAT II certification such as Security+. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required. 

 

Full Job Description 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Lead project through complete project life cycle 

  • Administers design, organization, and implementation of network 

  • Assist in presenting recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment 

  • Develop and monitor security procedures to safeguard  

  • Analyze traffic and workload for optimum network performance  

  • Develop and write procedures for installation, use, and solving problems  

  • Prepare charts and diagrams to explain network operation  

  • Organize training programs and prepares checklists and processes for help desk 

  • Work for complex and diverse network platforms/topologies  

  • Work in a team for development, integration, operation, and management of enterprise networks 

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and administrators to ensure a reliable, high-performance technology environment. 

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and virtualization environments 

  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes 

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors  

  • Utilizing a variety of tools and methods monitor systems for performance, capacity, and outages  

  • Provide escalated support  

  • Perform regular backup operations and implement  

  • Operate and maintain data backup and recovery solutions 

  • Work with architecture and engineering teams

Required Qualifications and Skills include: 

  • Requires minimum 10 years of experience performing a combination of Network design, architecture, engineering, and security. 

  • Experience in deploying and managing SolarWinds Orion in a highly distributed global enterprise. 

  • Administers design, organization, and implementation of network 

  • Assist in presenting recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment 

  • Develop and monitor security procedures to safeguard systems  

  • Analyze traffic and workload for optimum network performance  

  • Develop and write procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software 

  • Prepare charts and diagrams to explain network operation and to train managers  

  • Organize training programs and prepares checklists and processes for help desk 

  • Work for complex and diverse network platforms/topologies 

  • Work in a team for development, integration, operation, and management  

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and administrators  

  • Proven experience in deploying and managing SolarWinds Orion in a highly distributed global enterprise 

  • Advanced knowledge of network technologies and architecture 

  • Expertise with  

  • Solid knowledge of encryption protocols 

  • Advanced knowledge of security best practices 

  • Written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to articulate technical matters to both technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Experience in multitasking and working under time constraints 

  • Advanced skillset in time management and task prioritization 

 

Education/Experience include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or 10 years of related experience 

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional or SolarWinds Certified Professional 

  • IAT II Baseline Certification (Sec+) 

 

Working Conditions: 

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Use of standard office equipment such as scanners and printers, phones, and laptops.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a regular full-time position. 

 

Travel: 

 Little to none 

 

Clearance Type: 

Requires an Active TS/SCI clearance. Employment is contingent on having or obtaining the required active security clearance or successfully passing the required background check, as well as other factors, including, but not limited to, drug screens.
