Summary:
Zapata Technology is seeking an experienced Fires Application Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support mission-critical operations and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and integrating Fires applications, conducting system administration, and ensuring seamless connectivity across Command and Control (C2) environments. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining compliance with security protocols, and contributing to network architecture discussions to enhance the operational picture for joint and combined forces.
Job Duties:
- Design network architectures for integrating multiple ground C2 systems for a common operational picture
- Operate ground C2 applications including AFATDS, JTCW with EMT, JADOCS, JTT, and THSv2 during test events and daily operations.
- Participate in network architecture and system integration meetings to address connectivity/readiness for tests.
- Integrate ground C2 systems with aviation C2 systems for enhanced operational picture sharing.
- Perform system administration for Windows, Linux, and Android-based C2 applications and environments, ensuring compliance with ATO and program office directives.
- Configure and maintain virtualized server environments as needed.
- Implement host security measures, including account management, port security, data pool management, and privilege limitations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to ground C2 systems, networks, and shared operational picture integration.
- Conduct CMCC inventories and track all classified hardware in accordance with SOP.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for labs, ensuring adherence to all security protocol.
Job Qualifications:
- Hands-on operation of ground C2 applications including AFATDS, JTCW, JADOCS, JTT, and THSv2
- Background in designing and implementing network architectures supporting integrated C2 systems
- Experience with system administration across Windows, Linux, and Android operating environment
- Skilled in configuring and maintaining virtualized server infrastructures
- Knowledge of compliance with ATO and program office directives for secure operations
- Practical expertise in host security, including account management, port and privilege controls, and data pool management
- Experience integrating ground C2 systems with aviation C2 systems to enhance operational picture sharing
- Strong troubleshooting ability for system, network, and operational picture issues during live operations and tests
- Familiarity with CMCC inventory processes and classified hardware tracking
- Demonstrated adherence to security procedures in classified lab environments, including opening/closing operations
Education/Experience required:
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience.
- 3 years of experience can be substituted by completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and two years of experience can be substituted by completion of a Master’s degree in a related field
Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Use of standard office equipment.
